Accessing basic school items such as uniforms and stationery has become a nightmare for some parents who continue to buckle under the economic pressures. But for orphans and vulnerable children who are often dependent on hand-me-downs, these items have become a luxury they cannot afford. This has resulted in many children opting to stay at home instead of seeking an education.
Islamic Relief South Africa is appealing for sponsorships for new school uniforms, school shoes and stationery packs for orphan and vulnerable children. This forms part of our annual Ready for School campaign, which has kitted out more than 2,000 children with basic school items for the past three years.
This year, IRSA has made it more affordable for the community to participate - either by donating good quality second hand school items – or by making a monetary contribution from as little as R50.

Platinum Full Kit (Uniform, School shoes & Stationery) - R500
