Unrest is continuing in cities across the Middle East and North Africa following the uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya and Yemen. Instability in the region has caused a disruption in the supplies of everyday items, which is driving people further into poverty.
Islamic Relief has a number of established offices across the region in Egypt, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Jordan and have completed a variety of development projects, benefiting thousands of people.
We have made the necessary preparations and are responding to the urgent humanitarian needs. Islamic Relief will continue to monitor the region.
