Talking health and safety: A health and safety workshop was held at Islamic Relief’s community centre Osizweni in Ennerdale. 60 Orphans from Ennerdale and surrounding areas attended the workshop that was lead by the Osizweni care givers and support group.

of AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day: Islamic
Relief’s community centre, “Osizweni” celebrated the International
AIDS Candlelight memorial. This is one of the oldest and largest campaigns
for HIV/AIDS awareness celebrated around the world.

Gaza Strip Appeal:
Recent
conflict has intensified the desperate plight of Gaza's 1.5 million
inhabitants. Without access to the most basic and essential of services
these people have now become victim to sustained violent attacks, killing
and maiming innocent civilians and leaving many homeless.
Pakistan Earthquake 2008: Around 160 people have been killed, hundreds injured and over 15,000 made homeless after an earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale hit Pakistan. Africa in Focus: Africa is the poorest and most underdeveloped continent in the world. Poverty, malnutrition, poor health and a lack of water and sanitation are widespread. Eastern Europe In Focus: IR's work within Europe focuses on south-eastern Europe and includes the North Caucasus region of Chechnya. Middle East in Focus: The Middle East has long been seen as of strategic importance throughout the world. Asia In Focus: Asia incorporates over 50 countries and an infinite number of languages, religions and cultures. |
